Benny Benassi debuts his newest single “Spaceship” featuring Kelis, Apl and Jean Baptiste at Ultra Music Festival yesterday 3/37, during Winter Music Conference 2010 with a live performance by Kelis wearing a metallic silver face mask and silver lace-up boots on the UMF stage for the world premiere of their collaboration “Spaceship.”

DJ Benny Benassi just premiered his new video, “Electro Sixteen”, and its pretty incredible. The “photo-motion” style documentary was created last summer using more than 15,000 images from the DJ’s set at the Electric Zoo Festival. The video mimics the experience of a festival participant and you will feel like you’re right there. Benassi and Ezio Burani of Qubic New York, wanted to compare dance culture today to the punk movement pioneered by Iggy Pop in the 1970s. Mission accomplished. A little bit about PressLift: The application is run by drop.io, which powers content sharing online for millions of users. The inspiration for building PressLift came from communications professionals who were using drop.io to share related multimedia with a press release….and journalists/bloggers who asked for a better way to receive content pertaining to a story without the frustration of dealing with email attachments/html emails, IT-intensive ftp servers, or expensive dvds or usb drives.

Using 15,000 photographs with stop motion editing, this experimental music video was shot in one day at NYC’s Electric Zoo Festival at Randall’s Island in September 2009 and crossed with a day of shooting on the streets of NYC.  We flicked Benny while he was on stage. Also, capturing Ida Nash, as she made her journey to the Zoo to dance amongst the crowd.

When we reviewed the shots, they had a voice of their own. We knew we had something. At the time we had an unreleased bootleg track of Touring In NY Is Boring that we were listening too nonstop, plus we liked the irony because Benny always has such a good time in New York. He was launching the single Benny Benassi vs. Iggy Pop and we were doing the cover art – the work merged perfectly. With the track decided, Sixteen came together. This video shows Benny killin’ it on stage and the crowd dancing feverishly.

The Art direction was done by Ezio Burani of Qubic New York and the filming and editing performed by Todd Wiseman and Milos Silber of Hayden 5 Media.

Better Place is on schedule to implement at the end of 2011 with the first Renault switchable battery electric car hitting the streets of Denmark and Israel . Better Place is making moves to employ their battery switching technologies in cities all over North America A.S.A.P. Soon we may see more and more electric technologies being used for every day.

The green movement is growing steadily. The electric car is the predecessor that will lead the way for new future developments and technologies. We are urging our clients, friends and ourselves to become active in green projects and support companies like Better Place. We’re going to go out on a limb here and guessing that you’d rather be somewhere other than where you are right now…
But, there you sit, in front of your monitor and a cup coffee, thinking about laying out in the sun in Central Park, or tonight’s party, or your thinking about how great it would be to go to a really cool concert – In DUMBO. Us too! While scouring the Brooklyn Flee Market for lost records of the Beatles we stumbled upon the Manhattan Bridge Archway!

The Arch under the Manhattan Bridge in Dumbo was reopened after being off limits for nearly two decades. Perfect! We think it fits more party people then the main dance floor at Pacha. Exciting!
Here’s our idea! It’s just an idea for now but were working on it.

Take one great DJ (Benny Benassi) add a really cool venue (Manhattan Bridge Archway) and some really cool visual projections like NYCNightclubbing and  give the 100th Anniversary of the Manhattan Bridge a proper Birthday Party.

Research:

The DUMBO Improvement District, who is helping to secure funding for the $500K improvement project of the Arch, noted that the historic, 46-foot-wide archway below the Manhattan Bridge will be “for public, non-vehicular use.” Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz said he could see there being special events held in the archway at night, for those who don’t mind the constant soothing hum of subway and car traffic overhead. Marty we don’t mind! Can we have a party? Please! We have to make a few calls to Kate Kerrigan, the Executive Director of the Dumbo Improvement District.

So we also wan to have a really awesome mural made by the amazing urban artists from NY or the all stars of 5 Pointz for our new BUMBO project!

We agree with Bill Belew that “what comes out of the tap is just as good if not better for you than what comes in the plastic bottles, and better for the environment, too! No recycling, no plastic, no contaminants! Let’s see, tap water that meets state, federal and local guidelines or trendy bottled water with fancy names that costs more than gasoline. Hmm… ” Here is a campaign that we think is really cool - Tappening’s new Start a Lie campaign takes on truth in advertising by allowing people to create their own viral lie about bottled water. Because, as they say, “If bottled water companies can lie, we can too.” We are feeling like taking out that old, dusty “Water from the Pipe” campaign and giving it a new coat of polish – stay tuned.
